I'm trying to map reboot successful with an email notification and cannot make it work. If there's any solution for this, that'd be great.
It the channel dead????
How long does it record
Lol this company died
Watch the channel update video, he started it as a (Covid) lockdown project while furlowed but ended up back working and couldn't devote as much time as he could to the channel as he'd like. We all wish him well.
Are you referring to your channel or theirs ? Anyhow, it is preety horrible that now loads of people have just some paperweights :)@@MichaelBennett1
@@madbujor ah. Thought you were referring to this channel. Sorry about that. I get what you mean now.
@@MichaelBennett1 no Biggie.
Better yet just go all zigbee and stay away from both
is it possible to add octoprint enclosure controls (switches for LED, heater, fan) to HA?
Amazing video Thanks! 2024 some changes were made.... Some notes: *Instead of Fastlight use NeoPixel *NeoPixel suggest to use GPIO3 on ESP8266, I used D4 just like the video everything seems to be working *Im ussing 2m so 120 leds. to prevent over loading the 5V pin Im powering the d1 on 5V as "input" so the strip gets into parallel Here is my yaml if anyone needs it: esphome: name: led-strip-room1 friendly_name: led_strip_room1 esp8266: board: d1_mini # Enable logging logger: # Enable Home Assistant API api: encryption: key: ........................................ ota: - platform: esphome password: ................................................. wifi: ssid: !secret wifi_ssid password: !secret wifi_password # Enable fallback hotspot (captive portal) in case wifi connection fails ap: ssid: "Led-Strip-Room1 Fallback Hotspot" password: "R0nnuTnO3BaO" #captive_portal: light: - platform: neopixelbus type: GRB variant: ws2812x pin: D4 num_leds: 120 name: "LED strip R1" effects: - addressable_fireworks: - addressable_fireworks: name: Fireworks Effect With Custom Values update_interval: 32ms spark_probability: 10% use_random_color: false fade_out_rate: 120 - addressable_scan: - addressable_scan: name: Scan Effect With Custom Values move_interval: 100ms scan_width: 1 - addressable_color_wipe: - addressable_color_wipe: name: Color Wipe Effect With Custom Values colors: - red: 100% green: 100% blue: 100% num_leds: 5 gradient: true - red: 0% green: 0% blue: 0% num_leds: 1 add_led_interval: 100ms reverse: false - addressable_rainbow: - addressable_rainbow: name: Rainbow Effect With Custom Values speed: 10 width: 50
Dude, your video is full of unnecessary info, but did not address the basic problem. We all have problem with connecting to wi-fi and pairing.
These days I am facing issues with Tuya cloud every 2-3 months they say subscribe and pay this amount to continue using Tuya cloud, as such in every 3 months, I have to setup a new tuya cloud account and do the entire setup in home assistant again, which is very frustrating So my question is - After connecting using local tuya, even if free tier on tuya cloud ends it would not affect local tuya integration Am I right ?
Hi, thanks for the video, it is really helping. However, when I try and do the auto start with the wget command, I receive an error message “ERROR 404: Not Found” Anyone know the way around this? For someone who isn’t that good at this 😂 8:51
Good but none of my binary sensors were on after configuring the sensors and restarting HASS. They are triggered by the time, sunset or sunrise events after all so until at least one event occurs none of the sensors will turn on.
Great Review, Im buying the 2 pack, Subbed 😉
Hope you're okay WIll, haven't seen you for a while now.
Hi Will, U´re videos are made for me ;) Which Type in HA / Picture elements card / Elements shuld i use for Cover/Blinds ?
How to install ESPhome in my Windows?
Bought one tried to set it up it wouldn't turns out my wifi is 5gz it says it doesn't support it waste of money
Blimey. Irritating!!
Does it support Tapo Care cloud storage?
Finally, someone who explains the meaning of this platform, I've watched so many videos with lots of tricks but no basic information. Thanks for sharing 🙏
could this be done in an LXC?
hello from the future..is there a local tuya for android? Or any non cloud app, that works locally?
Excuse me mate Are you related to "josh fed up" who does videos on hes youtube chanell about thrifting & charity shops & stuff , he looks, sounds & is absolutely unbearable like you & your voice , your just a bit more posh , hes gotta be your cousin or something mate , let me no ? Cheers

If I am outside 2 km away from home and TP C200 is at home. Can I see on my Mobile how is at home through TP C200?
3 years later i have more luck with Google home integrations than home assistant :)
What do you think about nature pro, how do I do multi room speakers with this
Excellent video. All useful information and no useless banter.
Aww men, just chill out, your content is useful, thanks for that but watching your vid I had a feeling that you will get a stroke or heart-attack in any moment. Just take it easy. :)
I have a led strip with 18w power bank but only getting red led strip..how to get colours please?
If I buy this in a country n want to use in another country,is tat possible
So what's the web link for lovelace??
Dude you need to slow down - you are flying all over the place. I gave up watching as I had to pause and revert to catch all the stuff. You have deep knowledge but for people new to HA or looking for information its hard to keep up... Remember its not a contest!
Thanks for that nice video, as a tip you can use putty to connect to the vm (ssh is automatically turned on) and then you can insert your copied commands with a right click.
It is a very good review! Congratulations!!
do you have videos how to install home assistant software in the laptop or desktop
At the point where you said "this all gets very confusing" you had already minutes earlier completely confused me. Way too much use of tech jargon without any clarification - obviously meant for techies.
where did you go
this can be set up and installed on an ec2 right?
This is more of a guide on how not to do it.
Xeрабора .
you talk too much bruh and that too with mostly outdated information. disappointing really
Hi Will, With the advent of voice assistants in Home Assistant have you looked at voice automation of timers ala' Amazon Echo, Google Assistant or Homekit, etc?
Would be great to have more effects toward my readings to be helping and warning rather than a Rainbow but takes me another lifetime to learn what you have :-) video was very interesting to watch and I have most of it setup to a point, just not like yourself! And I have no clue on the codes in Node-Red as I have never used it before. I also do not have ESPhome on my setup and seem to have a lot of Hugs as it is, and not at all sure if I have room for more or ways around your setup. All I know is my stairs need replacing and making back to New and was thinking of something like your setup but jsut in a different manner to get medical readings to control the lighting now that would be an effect to be studying :-) Thanks for your video which as helped me with clues to slowly trying!
I followed your scripts completely although I don't have a Garbage_Collection section or tag (not good yet with some of the YAML terminology). but I put the binary_sensor TOD after all the references pulling in the Sensors.yaml. I added the code you did to the Sensors.yaml. restarted HA and watchman says the Morning, Evening and evening binary_sensors don't exist. I can't figure it out.
1:03 what if I don't have this shit and its not available where I live? You should make a generic video for everyone and not use any special component. If you would have used your teenie tiny brain, then you can just soldered that circuit on your own and shared the circuit diagram with us
Great video, thank you Will !! I'm new to Node Red and try to play a local MP3 (in HA Media folder) on my Sonos Speakers. But there is no Instruction how to access local files and play them on Sonos. I managed to play "Online mp3s" over , but I have no idea what is different with the local HA files? Do you know this ?
hello and thank you, at minute 12.57 you use a media.player.bedroom.... what type of mediaplayer is it?? it has a drop-down menu with various radios... it doesn't seem like a classic media player to me... thanks
How long ate the power supply wires?
Is it possible to see what is going on in your home when you are at work whit the live view??
I'm terribly confused, you mentioned that you need a 5v module because the 3.3v version can't run off the 5v power supply - then went on to use the 3v and reccomend the 3v. Can you clarify please? Should we not buy the Module you've linked in the description and buy a 5v or use the 3.3v one that you said we shouldn't then said we should use?
